April 2015

16-19/ Semi-Annual Tag Sale. Stop by and select from the great deals you can find in our twice yearly tag sale organized by our Shrine Volunteers.  For information and details, please contact us at lourdesshrinct@gmail.com or 860.567.1041.  All proceeds are used to help the Shrine continue its ministry.

26/ Monthly celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick after Mass. This is the last Sunday of the winter schedule. After this Sunday the schedule of Sunday Mass is at 11:30 AM in the Grotto.

28/ Feast of St. Louis de Montfort. Mass is celebrated today in honor of the founder of the Montfort Missionaries and the Daughters of Wisdom.  Mass at 10:30 AM in Montfort House Chapel.


May 2015

1/ Beginning of the 2015 Pilgrimage Season. Today marks the beginning of our 57th Pilgrimage Season.  Remember to bring flowers or plants for the Grotto Plaza throughout the month of May. Mass celebrated at 11:30 AM in the Grotto.

10/ Mother’s Day. At the conclusion of Mass today there will be a blessing for all the women who are present.  Please bring flowers and plants to help beautify the Grotto Plaza.

17/ Annual Blessing of Motorcycles. We continue the tradition of blessing motorcyclists who come today as they mark the beginning of the 2015 riding season.  Blessing begins at 1:30 PM. 
There is no 3:00 PM service today.

24/ Annual May Crowning. Following Sunday’s liturgy we will have the traditional crowning of the Blessed Mother’s statue in the Grotto. 

31/ Monthly prayer of the Sacrament of the Sick.

June 2015

21/ Father’s Day Blessing.  At the conclusion of mass today all the men who are present will be invited to receive a blessing for Father’s Day.

28/ Celebration of the Anointing of the Sick.

July 2015

4/ Please join us today for mass at 11:30 AM in the Grotto as we pray for our country and for peace.

26/ Monthly celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick.

August 2015

9/ Annual Talent Show. Got a talent? Love to sing in the shower? Then share it with those who will gather near the Grotto today for our Annual Talent Show. Please contact Jerry Buchas after Mass if you are interested in participating. Or leave a message at the Office, 860.567.1041.

15/ Solemnity of Mary’s Assumption. Mass on this beautiful feast is celebrated at 11:30 AM in the Grotto with the Sacrament of the Sick following. For more details contact us at lourdesshrinect@gmail.com or 860-567-1041.

22/ A Summer Evening at Montfort House. Join us for a fundraising event on the terraces of Montfort House, with cocktails and fine hors d’oeuvres from local produce. Contact us at 860-567-1041 or at lourdesshrinect@gmail.com for more details and to register.

27/ Celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick after Mass.

October 2015

3/ Annual Blessing of Animals. Come with your pets, large or small, to the Grotto for this simple but festive blessing at 4:00 PM.

4/ Living Rosary. Hosted by the Connecticut Knights of Columbus. This yearly event helps us celebrate the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.  Prayer begins at 2:00 PM in the Grotto Plaza.

7/ Last date for group pilgrimages to the Grotto. Today marks the end of our 2015 Pilgrimage Season.  Mass continues each day till Sunday the 11th at 11:30 AM in the Grotto.  The Grotto Café closes today at 2:00 PM for the duration of the winter months.

11/ Annual Harvest Dinner and the official end of the 2015 Shrine Pilgrimage Season. Tickets are on sale at the Montfort House office, the Grotto Cafe or Grotto Gift Shop beginning in September.

13/ Change of daily mass time to 10:30 AM and it is now prayed at Montfort House Chapel.

18/ Sunday Mass time changes to 10:30 AM today for the winter months and now is celebrated in the Grotto Chapel. 

25/  Celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick to follow today’s liturgy.

November 2015

26/ Thanksgiving Day Mass at 9:00 AM in the Montfort House Chapel.

29/Monthly celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick.

December 2015

8/ Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception. Please join us today as we celebrate this holy day of obligation in the Grotto Chapel at 10:30 AM.

Annual Christmas Festival Weekend

5/	10-12: Gingerbread Nativity Making. Reservations can be made beginning in mid-November for this family activity.
	7:00 PM: Candlelight Carol Sing in Pilgrim Hall and the Grotto.

6/	Living Nativity at 3:00. More information will be posted on our website as it becomes definite.

Christmas 2015

24/ 	Christmas Eve Mass is celebrated at 7:30 PM in the Grotto Chapel.
25/	Christmas Day Mass is celebrated at 10:30 AM in the Grotto Chapel.

27/	Feast of the Holy Family. Following today’s Sunday liturgy we will have the monthly celebration of the Sacrament of the Sick.

January 2016

1/	Solemnity of the Mother of God.  Mass is celebrated today at 10:30 AM in the Grotto Chapel.
