Our 51st Pilgrimage Season
begins May 1, 2009
Springtime means the start of so many exciting things for us. Time seemed to move slowly through the winter months but now we are ready to kick-off our new Shrine Season—our 51st!
The Shrine property is open for visits each day from sunrise to sunset. And that means more time spent enjoying the simple beauty of the Grotto and Way of the Cross because the days are longest at this time of the year.
Each day we will gather for mass in the Grotto at 11:30 AM. Monday is the only day when there are no public celebrations at the Shrine. The Grotto Café opens on May 1st and will serve home-cooked food from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on the days we celebrate mass. And the Grotto Gift Shop is already open to help us find the perfect gift for the many special events of the springtime.
This summer season will bring lots of activity and gathering of new and longtime friends. And for each one, the Shrine community is where they gather to worship Jesus and pray with Mary.
Consider making a pilgrimage to the Shrine. Call our Office and make a reservation for our staff to welcome you and walk with you in prayer. Saint Louis de Montfort organized groups of men and women to march in pilgrimage for special intentions. So what are those prayers for you and your parish? Then come and allow God’s tender love to transform your prayer into His own intention.
Come! Join us! And you, too, will know the power of how much God wants to love you and those you hold in your heart.
