In the cold of December we look into the crib and see how God becomes one with us forever: as an infant child who totally depends on others.  Mary, Joseph, and all the others gathered to look upon Jesus give us THE example of how to serve our God who loves us in Christ: by caring for him, holding him and loving him unconditionally.

Such a celebration of the Incarnation of God’s Eternal Word is a core element of the spirituality of St. Louis de Montfort. If we, as disciples of Jesus, are to live the vows we made at baptism then we must seek him out, know him totally and live in such a way that our whole life is a reflection of God’s living presence among us.  The Christmas Mystery reveals God’s desire to live totally among us and that in the birth of Jesus the journey home to God is begun for all of creation. And so we form an honor guard at his side, representing all of our brothers and sisters in this world.

Enjoy the gift of Life and Love shared with us in the Incarnation of God’s holy Word.  And may Jesus, the tiny child of Bethlehem, lead us Home.

Throughout this site you will find ways that you can join in the celebration of God With Us at Lourdes in Litchfield.  We have added a new blog that you can find here and also a video reflection of the beautiful Way of the Cross that adorns the Grotto hillside at Lourdes in Litchfield.  Both additions are still being developed, so don’t hesitate to give us feedback on what you like and what you think needs improvement. We will soon begin a new year and so we will also begin posting new photos from our Advent, Christmas and winter celebrations.

Join us as we seek out the Wisdom of God in Jesus.  Pray with us at our regularly scheduled liturgies and also through our prayer list that is posted on our blog.

Merry Christmas!  And a Blessed and Peace-filled New Year to each and everyone of us. May all we do in the new year of Grace be for God Alone.

This is a day of joy and celebration,
because God himself,
from the highest heaven, chose to become flesh like us.

Let us go and see him, worship and bless him
for so much Love:

May we be an Honor Guard, to Jesus, God of Love,

May we be an Honor Guard,
to Him who is
our God and Savior.
